The room felt spacious enough for a double, equipped with nice decor and a cozy atmosphere. The hotel had a quaint charm with a garden that imparted a peaceful vibe, perfect for those looking to unwind after a day of exploring.
The breakfast service could use some attention, taking longer than expected, and my order seemed to be overlooked since I received only one poached egg instead of the two I requested. Navigating the stairs was a hassle, especially with bags, and storage space felt limited. That could be a concern if you're traveling with more baggage. The experience had its ups and downs, but it was manageable.

The location is handy, relatively close to Small Hope Beach. Need to be mentioned that it's minutes from the heart of the city.

It was very relaxed and peaceful. There were no rules and regulations you could come and go as you pleased. Everything you needed for a relaxing stay was available without having to ask.
There was limited parking but this could not really be changed.

The friendly atmosphere, the superb breakfast room with its beautifully laundered linen and excellent food, Jenny was an outstanding hostess.
Not easy to find. Suggest a small map be sent with each reservation, and clear instructions on how to find the road. A sign at the end of the street would also help.

Lovely stay with amazing views!
Spent 4 nights and it was really nice! The breakfast was delicious and the views from our double room were fine, overlooking the sea and a pretty garden. The location makes it super easy to walk to shops and eateries. Only bummer was the tight parking for bigger cars. They do have a cozy bar area, though.

my husband and i stayed during august bank holiday, the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The breakfast was wonderful! soooo much choice and the lovely lady in the kitchen was more than happy to cook other options on request (our breakfast kept us full until the evening!)The location is brilliant, some great local pubs/restaurants,very tranquil setting. Our room was very clean and well maintained. This is the second time we have stayed here and would recommend it to others.Coffee and biscuits available all day (help yourself),very homely feel. The dining room was very well presented and very clean as was the rest of the hotel.A lovely place to stay!
The only thing that was difficult was the lack of parking space during busy times, although this is mentioned by the hotel,we stayed during the bank holiday when the 'scooter rally' was on and this sometimes posed a problem with parking. There is a local car park at the bottom of the garden,i believe you have to pay for this.

Its location was comfortable and handy, really close to the beach and center, many traditional English pubs, Shanklin Chine and Shanklin beach, and Shanklin town centre. I was here for 2 nights and ate at in-house restaurant for evening meals.

The grange is well located in a quiet road with very friendly staff. We were made to feel very welcome with nothing being too much trouble. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated with a selection of books, cd's and videos for guest use. Breakfast was good with both contnental and traditional English, freshly cooked to order. There is also good off road private parking and a very friendly dog!!

great location but some details need attention
The house had a lovely ambiance with beautiful gardens that allowed us to relax. Breakfast also offered a variety of choices, catering to different tastes which we appreciated.
Some aspects of the room were not as pristine as expected.

Very friendly host. Breakfast was excellent, lots to choose from and fresh food cooked to order.
Hotel car park was gated which meant you had to open and close the gates everytime you went in or out with the car. As it rained every day we were there we got quite wet doing this. My bed was very uncomfortable, hard mattress and springs could be felt and heard at every move. Very heavy duvet. No view from bedroom window apart from a brick wall. I would recommend the Grange for friendliness of staff and lovely breakfast but couldn't recommend the comfort of the beds.
